one of my greatest gifts in 2024 has been serving

one of my greatest gifts in 2024 has been serving as co-leader to Bob’s Fan Club (iykyk) with @eleven22students 🩷 as much as I’m leading them, they’re teaching me and challenging me in new ways to follow Jesus more wholeheartedly.

I’m so encouraged by this generation of middle schoolers and will take these observations of their faith with me into 2025:
• Stay Hungry: they show up READY to meet with God and worship. Their hands are raised, their hearts are open, and they are eager for what each night of ministry (and crazy game) has for them.
• Pursue Community: We meet in smaller family groups, and they take the term “family” to heart. I’ve watched them forge new friendships and look for new ways to support each other even as they play different sports, attend different schools, like different music, etc.
• Follow Intentionally: When leaders from a stage or small group invite them into something deeper, they go. They confess at the alter, declare freedom from sins, pray for their friends, and so much more. They are willing to find out what’s on the other side of believing that their leaders are walking them closer to Jesus.
• Remain Childlike: Middle School is on the cusp of so much change and independence. There’s a reason Jesus tells us to become like a little child in Matthew 18. There’s an energy, expectation, and hope of the goodness of God not yet fully impacted by the worries of the world. Trust the goodness of His character in it all.

I am challenged and changed by these (and those not pictured!) 17 girls!! I cannot wait to see all the ways God shows up for each of us in 2025 & beyond.
